Experience the beautiful Australian Bush on your exclusive tour...
Get Lost 4wd Tours offers 4wd driver training to Nationally Recognised Standards. Introductory and Advanced 4wd driver training courses are offered. All courses are safety orientated with emphasis on minimal environmental impact. These courses are available to the corporate and private sector alike.
Corporate......where 4wd vehicles are used in an off road situation as part of the work environment, the use of these vehicles should be included in any Workplace Health and Safety Risk Assessment. One way of addressing any identified risk is to provide all 4wd drivers with 4wd Driver Training to Nationally Recognised Standards. Courses can be designed to accommodate different company requirements and policies. It has been suggested that maintenance and repair costs to 4wd fleets is reduced after drivers have undertaken 4wd Driver Training.

Private......just bought a 4wd or maybe you have owned a 4wd for a while and thinking of taking mum and the kids off the beaten track for a camping holiday, or maybe you just want to gain an understanding of your 4wd and build your confidence behind the wheel.

Courses are part theory and a large part actually driving your 4wd vehicle around a specially prepared and approved training ground. The emphasis at all times is on safety and to provide the participant with an appreciation of just how capable they, and their vehicle are. All driving is done in a slow and controlled manner. No participant will be expected to do anything they are not comfortable with.
We cover all things 4wd, terms and techniques, vehicle inspection and component identificaion, environmental impacts and how to minimise those by operating our vehicles in an effective and safe manner while still being able to access those out of the way places. We discuss and practice wheel placement and terrain driving. We also discuss and practice vehicle recover techniques. Get Lost 4wd Tours offers advice on trip preparation as part of the driver training courses. Courses are held in small groups or on a one on one basis by arrangement.

All scenarios are walked and talked through, demonstrated where required, before any
attemped is made to drive them.
Consider combining driver training with a tag along camping weekend. That'd be fun! (minimum numbers apply)
